• New Dealer – I am happy to announce that Konkoly Guitars is now being represented by Soul Tree Guitars in King of Prussia, PA. Check out their website at www.soultreeguitars.com. Our initial instrument will be a periodic correct copy of a 1920's 12 fret slot-head 000-42. So in addition a new dealer, this guitar will introduce a new model and a new style. The 12 fret slot-head 000 will be available in any style, including my new “vintage reproduction” series. The vintage reproduction will feature old style bar frets on a neck reinforced with a non-adjustable ebony bar, hide glue construction, and a tortoise plastic pick-guard fixed to the top under the finish.

Konkoly Guitars at the IBMA World of Bluegrass. My new KD-28A Koa will be for sale at the IBMA World of Bluegrass conference and fan fest from Sept. 29 thru Oct.5 in the Elderly Instruments booth. Check it out if you are there.

Konkoly Conversion in Primetime - Jeff Daniels tells me his Konkoly Conversion (a 1934 Martin C-2 archtop converted to an OM-28 flattop in 2004) will be featured in his upcoming CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame movie “Sweet Nothing in my Ear”, which airs on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 9 pm EST/ 8 pm CST.
